Tim O'Sullivan has been appointed Operations Director of the newly formed Offshore Renewables Division within J P Kenny, the independent subsea and pipeline organisation.  O'Sullivan, says the company, will be responsible for the delivery of existing renewable projects in J P Kenny which currently include the Cornwall Wave Hub development, supporting various aspects of the offshore wind accelerator programme for the Carbon Trust, ongoing support to Oceanlinx’s wave energy projects, and a number of other global projects.

Commenting on the appointment Steve Wayman CEO of J P Kenny said, 'Many billions of pounds will be invested in wind, wave and tidal energy projects over the next ten years and J P Kenny, along with other Wood Group companies, will seek to apply the expertise and capability to support and optimise renewable projects that we have used to serve oil and gas projects for 30 years.'

O'Sullivan previously led MCS in Aberdeen, an advanced subsea technology company owned by Wood Group,  'I am really excited about the opportunities in the renewable sector and know that J P Kenny can offer the market a unique combination of skills and experience,' said O'Sullivan.
